COME AND JOIN one of the most progressive sheds in the Hunter Valley. Murrurundi Mens Shed is a member of the Australia-wide Mens Shed group. The main aim is to foster a community-based, non-commercial organisations primarily established to improve members' health, relieve social isolation and provide a safe, friendly environment to work on projects.

The Murrurundi branch was opened in 2014 and has been meeting and working continuously. The organisation is open to members of the community with a yearly joining fee of $35 and a morning fee of $2 per meeting day to assist in canteen costs.

We break at 10:00 for a ‘cupa’ and visitors are welcome to come along and just have a chat if that’s what you want.

The days of sanding away to strip down objects has changed. Today we have lasers to dot he hard work. Murrruundi Mens hed has purchased a paint stripping laza (from China of coruse) which makes wood and metal paint striping a a flashing success
